For boot fitters

Your customer walks in knowing what they feel

Edge Lab turns “my heel lifts when I flex forward” into a one-page report: what they feel, the likely causes ranked from the physics, and their setup. Listing is free, and a person checks every entry.

What the report looks like

One page, read in a minute

What they feel, in their words. The likely causes in order from the model, with how to tell them apart. Then the ticket: weight, skis, boots and snow. It never diagnoses and it is not medical advice.

The example uses the site’s default skier: 92 kg on a K2 Mindbender 89Ti 176, a little heel lift, groomed.

They feel

  • Heel lifts when I flex forward
  • Quads sore by lunch

Likely causes, ranked by the model

  1. Your boots are letting you move

Play in the boot means your input arrives late and partly lost, so you end up chasing your balance, usually backwards.

  2. You're sitting back

Your centre of mass is behind the middle of your foot, so the tails do most of the work.

  3. You lean in with the whole body

Getting the edge by leaning in rather than angulating loads the ski harder and leaves less grip in reserve.

Not medical advice. Pain or injury: see a physio. Bindings and release settings are the shop’s job.

How it works

  1. Tell us about your shop

Name, region, services, website and a booking link if you have one. Two minutes, no account.

  2. We check it

A person looks at every listing before it shows. Your card gets a "Checked" date, and we re-check each season.

  3. Skiers find you

Nearest first when we know where they are, otherwise alphabetical. Partners pay a referral fee per booked appointment and are labelled. Paying never changes the order.
