Blizzard Anomaly 88: Simply stiff ski

    gappgapp · 17 Mar 2026 · 176 cm tested

    Reviewed as the 2025 model.

The tester rated the ski 5/10. While offering exceptional and durable edge hold on hardpack and ice, the ski felt overly rigid and punishing. Turn exits lack energetic rebound, and driving the tips forcefully risks catching and pitching forward, forcing a rearward stance to release and maneuver. Off-piste float requires back-seat balance as well. Suited mainly for powerful skiers who prefer very stiff planks for wide carving turns on moderate groomers.

“le ski est très rigide.” (gappgapp)

Why this one: Tester weighs 80 kg, within 10 kg of you.

Review of the Blizzard Anomaly 88

    Sebmatstaps73 · 7 Jan 2026 · 182 cm tested

    Reviewed as the 2025 model.

The tester gave the ski an 8/10, praising its blend of user-friendliness, efficiency, and versatility. Testing in hardpack, icy mornings, and soft afternoon snow, he appreciated its solid edge hold and great high-speed stability without demanding excessive aggression. It effortlessly held lines in both short and wide carved turns. His main drawback was the high retail price.

“Le Blizzard Anomaly 88 ne bouge pas.” (Sebmatstaps73)

    2026 K2 Mindbender 89Ti - SkiEssentials Ski Test Review

    SkiEssentials · 8 Aug 2025 · 170 cm tested

    Reviewed as the 2026 model.

The reviewer presents the K2 Mindbender 89Ti for 2026, examining its Titanal Y-Beam layout, flex, and rocker profile. He notes that while it sits in the popular category of ~90mm metal-laminate all-mountain skis, it differentiates itself with a looser tail and enhanced freeride maneuverability. This design allows it to excel in moguls and tight trees while retaining solid high-speed stability and edge grip on groomed snow.

    2025 K2 Mindbender 89 Ti - SkiEssentials.com Ski Test Review

    SkiEssentials · 17 Sept 2024 · 182 cm tested

    Reviewed as the 2025 model.

The K2 Mindbender 89Ti returns with unchanged construction and fresh graphics. It excels as an energized frontside carver with a tight turn radius and energetic tail finish. While capable of slipping into bumps or trees and pivoting off groomers, its stiff tail and punchy rebound make it best suited for advanced to expert skiers who can harness its power on firm snow.
