What the model says

Carve radius, to scale

  • Sidecut radius: 18 m
  • Carve radius at 30° edge: 15.6 m
  • Carve radius at 45° edge: 12.7 m
All three drawn on one scale, from the same starting point. A smaller arc is a tighter turn.

Edge hold and float

  • Edge hold: 92%, Holds well
  • Float: 79%, Floats well
Ticks mark where the word changes. For 90 kg at 180 cm: hold on groomed snow, float in powder. Model figures, not measurements.

These are the model’s numbers, not measurements. Carve radius comes from the sidecut, so it does not change with weight; edge hold and float do. Flex and camber are our estimates (see “What the model uses” below).

2026 Fischer Nightstick 104 - SkiEssentials Ski Test Review

    SkiEssentials · 8 Aug 2025 · 180 cm tested

The Fischer Nightstick 104 returns for 2026 with an updated graphic while retaining its construction. Featuring a full poplar wood core with metal underfoot beneath the core, it is thinner and softer flexing in the tips and tails than the narrower Nightsticks. With its 19-meter radius, camber profile, and twin-tip shaping, it delivers a playful, drifty feel suited for freestyle-minded skiers seeking soft-snow capability, park sessions, and tree riding.

    2025 Fischer Nightstick 104 - SkiEssentials.com Ski Test Review

    SkiEssentials · 17 Sept 2024 · 180 cm tested

    Reviewed as the 2025 model.

The Fischer Nightstick 104 is an energetic, playful twin-tip freeride ski built with a wood core and a titanal reinforcement underfoot for durability and vibration damping. Despite having a softer flex than the 97, it offers impressive stability at speed while remaining fun, slashy, and intuitive. It truly excels in soft snow, trees, and freestyle maneuvers, though it is not meant to be a dedicated firm-snow carving machine.
