What the model says

Carve radius, to scale

  • Sidecut radius: 16.9 m
  • Carve radius at 30° edge: 14.6 m
  • Carve radius at 45° edge: 12 m
All three drawn on one scale, from the same starting point. A smaller arc is a tighter turn.

Edge hold and float

  • Edge hold: 97%, Holds well
  • Float: 73%, Floats well
Ticks mark where the word changes. For 90 kg at 175 cm: hold on groomed snow, float in powder. Model figures, not measurements.

The Völkl Revolt 101 at 175 cm, worked out by the Edge Lab model for three skier weights.

Best All-Mountain Skis of 2026-2027 (Staff top picks) (Völkl Revolt 101)

    Powder7 · 14 Oct 2026

Returning with new graphics, the Revolt 101 serves as a stout, all-mountain directional twin. Its heavy wood core and pinned tail profile offer surprising edge bite and charging stability on groomers and through mixed terrain, yet it slithers easily through bumps and tight trees.

A Low Tide Freeride Ski? | 2026 Völkl Revolt 101

    FREESKIER Magazine · 20 Oct 2025

    Reviewed as the 2026 model.

The Völkl Revolt 101 blends precise carving performance with a forgiving, freestyle-inspired character. It arcs smooth, damp turns on groomed trails with almost no chatter, while also maneuvering easily through trees and choppy snow. Although it may feel slightly too stiff for dedicated park riders or slightly too soft for aggressive directional chargers, it serves as a versatile, responsive tool for intermediate through expert skiers.

  • 2026 Volkl Revolt 101 Ski Review

    Bob St.Pierre · 26 Mar 2025 · 182 cm tested

    Reviewed as the 2026 model.

The Volkl Revolt 101 is a directional, stiff freeride ski derived from the Revolt 114 shape. Without metal, its thick wood core delivers remarkable damping, stability, and carving grip at speed. While the tapered tail aids turn release, its substantial heft and rigidity reduce playfulness and drift in soft snow. Best suited for powerful, assertive skiers wanting strong edge control and charging ability across mixed surfaces.

“On-trail, this ski holds an edge like a dream.” (Bob St.Pierre)
