What the model says

Carve radius, to scale

  • Sidecut radius: 13 m
  • Carve radius at 30° edge: 11.3 m
  • Carve radius at 45° edge: 9.2 m
All three drawn on one scale, from the same starting point. A smaller arc is a tighter turn.

Edge hold and float

  • Edge hold: 100%, Holds well
  • Float: 23%, Sinks
Ticks mark where the word changes. For 90 kg at 173 cm: hold on groomed snow, float in powder. Model figures, not measurements.

2027 Fischer The Curv GT 80 - SkiEssentials Ski Test Review

    SkiEssentials · 17 Aug 2026 · 166 cm tested

    Reviewed as the 2027 model.

The Fischer The Curv GT 80 receives a refreshed top sheet while maintaining its frontside carving identity. Featuring a poplar and beech wood core, shaped Titanal laminates, and diagonal fiberglass, it delivers high energy, powerful rebound, and firm edge hold. It favors clean, round carved turns on groomed snow rather than off-trail versatility or easy skidding. The ski offers race-inspired performance in a slightly wider 80 mm chassis suited for advanced to expert groomer skiers.
