    What reviewers say

Reviews from Realskiers (opens in a new tab) and SkiEssentials (opens in a new tab)

    • Nocta - Realskiers

      Reviewed as the 2018 model.

The Black Crows Nocta offers surprisingly nimble handling for a wide 122mm powder model. It features a torsionally soft construction that eases maneuverability, though quick turns require pivoting due to its substantial turning radius. The fiberglass build provides a responsive rebound when driven through maneuvers.

“Black Crows has fat figured out.”

    • 2024 Black Crows Nocta Ski Review

      Matt Stromecki · 15 June 2023 · 186 cm tested

The redesigned Nocta adds underfoot camber, a denser wood core, and an asymmetric flex pattern to expand its capabilities beyond deep powder. Tested entirely on groomed trails, it showed surprising carving manners, strong edge hold, and a lively rebound out of turns. Softer tips preserve smeariness and agility, while a stiffer rear section supplies high-speed poise. The changes trade full-rocker niche appeal for significantly broader versatility.

“Our expectations were met and then some!” (Matt Stromecki)
