Best skis for a over 110 kg intermediate, for Japan powder

Japan powder is deep and usually light. The model reads it as powder, so float counts for more in the ranking and edge hold for less. This list is for a over 110 kg intermediate skier.

You’ll be a long way from your own shop, so sort the tune and the bindings before you fly, not after you land. The check below is for that.

How we chose

We ran the Edge Lab model for a 120 kg intermediate skier on powder, the middle of the over 110 kg band. It works out carve radius, edge hold and float for every eligible ski (505 of 739 in the catalogue), then ranks them. Kids’ skis and skis too short for the over 110 kg band are left out. These are the best available in our catalogue today, in that order, not ours.

No reviews behind these picks yet, so this is the model on its own. When reviews of these skis are added, testers within 10 kg of you and at your ability count for more.

Shops never change the order. Where a number is our estimate rather than the maker’s, it says est..
