What the model says

Carve radius, to scale

  • Sidecut radius: 16 m
  • Carve radius at 30° edge: 13.9 m
  • Carve radius at 45° edge: 11.3 m
All three drawn on one scale, from the same starting point. A smaller arc is a tighter turn.

Edge hold and float

  • Edge hold: 100%, Holds well
  • Float: 40%, Sinks
Ticks mark where the word changes. For 90 kg at 172 cm: hold on groomed snow, float in powder. Model figures, not measurements.

    What reviewers say

    • 2025 Atomic Maverick 88 Ti

The Atomic Maverick 88 Ti stands out as an agile and dependable all-mountain choice. It initiates tight turns quickly, navigates moguls and trees with ease, and provides a stable, secure edge platform when carving wide open groomers at higher speeds.

“it remained predictable and trustworthy as I raked up the edge angle”

    • 2024 Atomic Maverick 88 Ti

Atomic's Maverick 88 Ti stands out as an agile all-mountain model capable of quick short turns and fluid off-piste navigation. Its cambered profile maintains dependable grip and composure when carving, while the supportive yet smooth-releasing tail enables easy pivot and drift adjustments. Designed primarily for softer snow, moguls, and tree runs, it excels in spring slush but may show its limitations on particularly steep, icy terrain.

“Its tail is supportive without being flashy, gradually releasing its grip”

    • 2026 Atomic Maverick 88 CTI Ski Review

      Bob St.Pierre · 7 May 2025 · 179 cm tested

The redesigned ski adopts a blended wood core, carbon laminate, and an updated tip shape that quickens turns and enhances soft-snow handling. It pivots easily through tight trees and bumps, feeling far more forgiving and approachable than before. However, the lighter build and softer shovel make it prone to twitchiness in drawn-out high-speed carves and heavier chop.

“This new one feels more like a fine-tuned chef’s knife” (Bob St.Pierre)

    • 2024 Atomic Maverick 88 Ti Ski Review

      Bob St.Pierre · 18 Jan 2023 · 184 cm tested

Atomic's Maverick 88 Ti pairs a lightweight construction with dual metal laminates to deliver an agile, responsive, and precise ride. It carves cleanly on groomers with dependable edge hold and impressive rebound out of the turn, though the light tip can exhibit chatter when pushed at very high speeds. Off-piste, low swing weight aids quick maneuverability through moguls and trees, while flotation remains average for its waist width due to a stiffer tail profile.

“Overall, though, this ski is an insanely precise and agile carver on the groomers” (Bob St.Pierre)
