What the model says

Carve radius, to scale

  • Sidecut radius: 17 m
  • Carve radius at 30° edge: 14.7 m
  • Carve radius at 45° edge: 12 m
All three drawn on one scale, from the same starting point. A smaller arc is a tighter turn.

Edge hold and float

  • Edge hold: 100%, Holds well
  • Float: 51%, Some float
Ticks mark where the word changes. For 90 kg at 173 cm: hold on groomed snow, float in powder. Model figures, not measurements.

These are the model’s numbers, not measurements. Carve radius comes from the sidecut, so it does not change with weight; edge hold and float do. Flex and camber are our estimates (see “What the model uses” below).

By ability

The Nordica Santa Ana 92 at 173 cm for a 90 kg skier on groomed snow. Reviewers are mostly experts, so read the left of each band for what most skiers get.

On firm snow, 173 cm
  • First-timer: slides (19%)
  • Beginner: slides (41%)
  • Intermediate: on the limit (70%), assumed level
  • Advanced: holds well (95%)
  • Expert: holds well (100%)
assumed intermediate: on the limit (70%)

Float

In soft snow
  • First-timer: sinks (39%)
  • Beginner: sinks (42%)
  • Intermediate: sinks (44%), assumed level
  • Advanced: some float (47%)
  • Expert: some float (51%)
assumed intermediate: sinks (44%)

Ease

How forgiving it is
  • First-timer: hard (0%)
  • Beginner: manageable (50%)
  • Intermediate: easy (96%), assumed level
  • Advanced: easy (100%)
  • Expert: easy (96%)
assumed intermediate: easy (96%)

Our model, run with working assumptions about how each level skis (edge angle, speed, how much weight reaches the edge). Not measurements. The marked cell assumes an intermediate skier; compare with your own details to see your own level.

    What reviewers say

    • 2025 Nordica Santa Ana 92

The Nordica Santa Ana 92 is an adaptable all-mountain ski crafted for off-piste terrain while remaining dependable on groomed runs. Tailored metal layering softens torsional stiffness for variable surfaces while retaining solid bite beneath the foot. A rocker profile aids maneuverability in softer snow, and the updated elastomer-infused core allows lighter skiers to bend the ski smoothly and rebound out of carved turns.

    • 2025 Nordica Santa Ana 92 Ski Review

      Emily Crofton · 1 May 2024

Nordica updates the Santa Ana 92 for 2025 by adding Pulse Core damping underfoot and increasing tail rocker. The ski retains strong high-speed power and edge grip on firm snow, but becomes notably more forgiving and agile. It releases easily from turns in moguls and tight terrain without demanding constant full-throttle driving. While not a pure powder tool, it offers solid versatility across groomers, bumps, and mixed soft snow.

“On-piste, this ski feels solid and reliable on edge, with enhanced dampness” (Emily Crofton)
